This is great! I was thinking of doing it in two different colours and then making it into a bag, maybe gryffindor house colours since Sirius is in that house.
    Thanks for a great pattern!

I bet this would be really great adapted with two colors… I’m going to try it on my next scarf (working on house scarves right now, come see me on Ravelry – bbhatsNstuff)
    I LOVE your patterns!!!

I might use your pattern for the tattoo but change it in to a vest for myself if that’s okay with you, giving you full credit of course. Wanted to get your permission first, though.

The symbol is from alchemy. Though it stands for Amalgamation not Amalgam. It is not upside down but it is missing a third line on the tail.

    Re: The symbol.

It’s the alchemical symbol for an amalgam, and it’s upside down.

I believe I found 2 errors in the Sirius Black cloth pattern.

    In row 23 the first P is 3 not 2. In row49 the last P is 10 not 9.

My son likes Harry Potter so I was glad to find these to make for him.

I found 2 errors, I believe, in the Sirius Black cloth.

    row 23 is K4,P13,K1,P3,K3,P3,K1,P13,K4.
    r0w 49 is K4,P10,K1,P15,K1,P10,K4

I was happy to find these as my son is a big Harry Potter fan. I have made the Sorcerers Stone and the Golden Snitch cloths also. I enjoy making dish cloths.

You are just too clever. Any idea on what the symbol means?
