To a Death Day Party…

Ummmm… Just how Harry Potter can you get than having your children suggest a Death Day Party in honor of Chewy’s death a year ago today…

There’s a huge side of me that’s completely Appalled by the idea… and then there’s the side that says… we loved her… we miss her… let’s honor her…

So don’t be surprised if you see a cake posted here later…

Chewy.. we miss you so much… and just seeing this particular  picture of you gets my throat all choked up…  We love you sweet girl….

Happy Dogs on Thursday!

You should tell your kids about Mexican Day of the Dead. The celebration is to honour their deceased loved ones too. Google it and you’ll be less appalled by their suggestion.

P.S. I already looked at your post about Death Day and I love the poem and the cake. Absolutely adorable. I’m sure Chewy would want you to be enjoying yourselves as a family!

What great kids! That’s actually a pretty healthy way to remember a beloved family member. Make it a happy Death Day, with cake and hugs all around!
