That’s how I like to describe how my life has been lately… completely batwhacky!

Friday night was the Scout’s pumpkin decorating contest and Pack meeting.  The middle guy was really excited for it, and had planned his pumpkin out in advance…

This is not a carving contest… it’s strictly decorating, and word on the street was… the scouts go ALL out…  so  we prepared in advance like many of the other scouts (and probably their mom’s and dad’s)… and brought our supplies to the meeting.. ready to make a bat pumpkin..

My middle guy picked purple as his color, and we pre-cut and painted the wings, and ears, and selected spray paint for the pumpkin itself as well as picking paint and eyes for the bat’s face… and off we went…

It wasn’t a joke.. the ‘all out-ness’ that some families went with…  but it was all out fun… and though the middle guy didn’t win any awards, he had a popular pumpkin and a lot of fun too!

here are some of the other pumpkins…

The Scout favorite – Joe the Plumber

The Middle Guy’s best friend’s ‘Lion’

The ‘eye’, and spider…

‘Silliest’ Prize winner… Elvis

Tom the Turkey

The Football Guy (steeler’s of course)

Another bat

and finally.. ours…

It was an insanely busy weekend as usual, with the Soccer final game and pizza party with ‘trophy’s’

A birthday movie/sleepover party… High School Musical 3…  very cute and fun…

and.. another scouting event (Fall Festival)… where the middle guy got to catapult pumpkins amongst other cute and fun outdoor activities…

We ended it with frying a turkey and having a ‘nearly’ Thanksgiving dinner with good friends…

Here’s a sweet treat we had for the kids (and adults) who like peanut butter fudge… mmmm

mmmm fudge…

Hope your weekend was as fun as ours!

Those are great photos of the Middle Guy. He seems really happy… and those are hilarious pumpkins! What a great competition to have!! Indiana is superneat, as is the Turkey. Middle Guy’s bat is waaay nicer than the other one! I like the purple, dark, but non-conventional! Hahha 🙂

Sounds like you guys had tons of fun, even if it is a bit batwhackey!

AWESOME photos. The fudge is just precious, and I’m grumpy that your guy didn’t win anything for his purple bat pumpkin!
