Spring Sun

April 2, 2008

The last few weeks have seemed gloomy… but yesterday it was simply BEAUTIFUL out at a warm 60 degrees, and while today is much chillier, the sun is just gorgeous shining in my kitchen window. I was sitting here enjoying it and looking at this poor sad plant…

I mean, in general the plant isn’t that sad… it’s growing great.. it’s just that it previously had a gorgeous Geranium with it. It was HUGE and on the front porch when we moved in. The previous owner left it for us. It did fabulously on the front porch until I brought it inside. There isn’t enough light in our home to keep it happy. It eventually died back.. and I will plant a new one in it later this spring when I can put the pot back on the front porch. I was thinking about that plant when I got a request from the little girl for something (Probably Apple Juice)… and when I returned to my seat… here’s what I found…

Maybe my indoor ‘Brown Thumb’ isn’t as brown as I thought! 😉 This must have been just the perfect warm spot for Sparky… hehehe

I owe a proper bloggy thanks to Anne for this gorgeous silk scarf she mailed me last week. What an amazing pick me up. I’ve worn it out a few times and everyone comments on it’s beautiful loveliness!!  One of the cooles things about it, besides the beautiful lace pattern and super soft silky amazingness of the yarn is the beautiful scent it came with.  Apparently she blocked it with a spritzer of water mixed with Soak.  It smells like peach or maybe citrus and is so gently scented.  I really must run out and buy some now!

Of course this picture does ZERO to show the true colors.. but it is just beautiful!

Cute Sparky! Not my choice of a nap spot, but hey…

Love the scarf! If you’re nice, I’ll let you sniff my Soak while you’re here.
