About that dress..

February 5, 2008

Remember this…

dressme.jpg  pattern.jpg

well.. it was put temporarily on hold due to the fact that my mother-in-law thinks there isn’t enough fabric.  I was so bummed… look at the beautiful job she did with the children’s Baptismal gown.. (made from the train to my gown)

and the embroidery she did on the top…. *the picture stinks but you get the idea…

There was an absolutely beautiful bonnet too, but it got lost at the church after the Big girl’s baptism… sadness…

Well, we might have come up with a solution.  The big girl and I are meeting with a local seamstress who has some ideas about how to deal with the shortness of fabric… 🙂  YAY!  Now… big girl… get well, so that we can meet with Elaine on Saturday! Wahoo!  Plus I think she’ll be so thrilled to get to try on various sample dresses to pick one out…

No wonder you are so talented… are genetically inclided to be so! I’m sure something will get figured out. Glad you liked the skirt….I was feeling a bit out there with it.

Thanks for the kind words on my knitted puppy!

As for the Harry Potter cookie cutters, I searched those down on ebay after seeing someone giving them away in a blog give-away to celebrate the release of Deathly Hallows.

They are Wilton and I think from the early 2000s. Probably released when the first movie came out. When HP merchandise was based on the illustrations, not Daniel Radcliff.

Not enough fabric from all that dress for a little one? Yikes!

That dress is beautiful and your daughter will be just as beautiful in it. It will all work out.

The baptismal gown is beautiful. I’m sure something equally impressive will come of the wedding dress.
