About

I’m a ‘never’ stay at home mom of three littles, ages 3, 5, and 7. We’re a busy ‘running’ family. My other job is to manage our running camp, Blue Mountain, which is in August each summer. I love to knit, scrapbook, read, and run… when I’m not doing something with my kiddos! I’m happily married to the Big Guy, for 9 years now.

NO WAY! Another running knitter. I have been knitting for 3 years and running for 6. I belong to SFRRC and lead the new runners.

Planning any races in the Bay Area?

Never enough time in the world to do everything…but I try.

    Juana,

I’ve been running since I was 12, so that’s, wow… 24 years! I mean, when I was 12 I wasn’t running like I am now.. but that’s when I caught the bug, and I’ve never seemed to get rid of it ;-)

I’ve been to the bay area a number of times, and ran with some friends through DRS (Dead Runners Society), one is in the bay area still I think. Hinkmond Wong. Great group of people. We ran this fun race in a park near the GGB, I have the best shirt from it… it’s a turtle with a race number and says ‘Start out slow, then taper off’. It’s a tank and I still wear it! :-)

Don’t know if I’ll be back in that area any time soon… I’m not working (other than taking care of my children which is work enough)… so I’m not travelling that way as often as I was 8 years ago. I live in Raleigh, North Carolina now. :-)

Oh, and now that I think about it… I learned to knit that same year… age 12 was an important one I guess!

I received my package today….I love the card and had been wanting to get some of those knitting needle keepers. They look like they work really well. The cotton is just beautiful….oh and I like the dish cloths too!! :-)

Help! I want to make your Harry Potter dishcloth, but am not familiar with the “MB”. Does that stand for make border? Knit 4 on all borders? Thanks!
I knit (started in college) then quit and did not start again until I became a granny at 50 (7 years ago), garden too (we have 7+ acres, 3 in some garden state, rest in woods) and love to WALK! Did my first half marathon in April: which is only quite a feat at 56 because I had total knee replacement last summer. Those three passions all go together!

Hi! I just wanted to pop by and say thanks for the HP washcloth patterns. I made the golden snitch and the flying keys is in my to make pile.

I live out in Winston-Salem and up until this year, my husband (I helped) used to coach track and cc. We’re taking a break because we have a young son.

Congrats on the camp! I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. :)

    Hi Michelle,
I want to make sure that you received my e-mail about swapping partners for the cocoa swap ;)
